I am writing this blog post from a hotel room in San Diego on the marina. The view from my patio door is amazing, I am not going to lie. I wish I got more time in this town to explore, but alas, I am here for another 8 hours of work and then its back on the road.
Before I left on this trip I was furiously trying to get a lot of quilting done so I could feel like I really accomplished something, even when I have to take 5 days away from home. I made significant progress on my greek cross quilt.
And clearly my photography skills need a bit of work as well. I think my biggest challenge is going to be figuring out what to bind this with. Most of the time I go for a solid, but I mean, come on! This quilt is so citrus-y and bright. It is almost begging for a patterned binding. Conundrum! Guess I will have to make a trip out to Joann’s when I get back into town…. Dang.
Maybe somewhere along the Pacific Coast Highway there will be a lovely little fabric store that I can convince my coworkers to stop in. A girl can dream, right?
