A lot of progress was made last night on the rectangle quilt block and I am SOOOOOO excited about how its turning out.

I conned Dan into helping me lay it out (hehe…)

This probably wont end up being the final layout, but aided me in mixing and matching all the individual blocks.

This quilt reminds me of the 1970′s, mostly because of the yellow/orange/browns which look a little bit like my grandmother’s old kitchen.

Its amazing to me that an entire quilt top can be reduced to this tiny stack…

The individual blocks turn out great, and they remind me of flying kites!

Right before bed I decided I needed a new manicure to carry me into the weekend, but also needed one that would dry quickly, seeing as I was painting my nails near midnight and needed to go to bed.

Thank goodness for Instagram and Diptic!
